Promoting Ways Community, Faith, Family and Food
Can Help Create a Stronger Future

The Purple Crow Foundation supports charitable initiatives facilitated by businesses that promote free and flourishing communities.

We do this by funding “learn-to-earn” student learning scholarships, by matching charitable grants with employees and partners to support the work of selected non-profits, by sponsoring community events, and by contributing to innovative food relief programs.

Employee Match News

Terry Larking

Terry Larking heads the American food service sales team at the Purple Crow. This month, Terry chose to make a donation to Second Harvest Food Bank because he values their investment in people locally through the Providence Culinary Training program. He recognizes the importance of second chances. “The Purple Crow Employee Match Program multiplies our efforts to give to the community,” Terry said.

Hurricane Helene Relief
In the wake of the devastation to our North Carolina mountain communities, Purple Crow responded to the call of our neighbors in need. We worked with our partners at Salem Leasing to deliver critical fuel to fire and rescue. In coordination with local officials and charities, we delivered two full truckloads of products to two of the hardest hit areas in Western North Carolina just days after Helene.

Baptist Burn Unit Visit

One of our long-term employees, Tony Calero, is a burn survivor. When he asked Purple Crow Foundation to partner with him and his family in their yearly tradition of providing gift bags to patients in the Wake Forest Hospital Burn Center (and their families), we felt privileged to help answer that call!

And so again this year, Purple Crow employees helped fill and deliver 100 bags, including notes of encouragement. The director told The Crow: “Our patients and families truly appreciate your generosity and kind words during a challenging time. The handwritten notes of encouragement are especially comforting.
